elf+ Coco Glow Cloud Highlighter in the shade Moonlight Glow - £7.50

You know when you buy a beauty product on a whim not having a clue how it performs but are willing to risk it and it ends up being one of the greatest products you've ever used? Yeah, this is that product.

I found this highlighter in TK Maxx and thought I'd pick it up because I was drawn to the cutesy packaging and the beautiful pearly-pinky-champagne shade. I am a bit of a highlighter freak and currently have 3 on the go, but I couldn't put this one down. The colour (and price at TK Maxx, £2.50!) drew me in.

I had no clue until I opened it in the car that it has quite a strong coconut scent - I love this, but it's strong so if anyone is funny with scents in make-up I'd give this one a miss. The formula itself is infused with coconut which gives it its soft, squishy, buttery texture that is so satisfying to touch. You can apply it with a brush or with your finger, but because it's quite a wet texture I think a finger applies it better.

I read some reviews on this and some people don't like the glitter in it, but I don't think it's bad. I have a glittery highlighter from Maybelline (Master Chrome Extreme in 200 Diamond Glow, very pretty but not CF) and the glitter in that goes everywhere, but the bits of glitter in this e.l.f. highlighter aren't very big at all so it doesn't look ridiculous. I just think that pearly sheen gives the most gorgeous wet look to the skin, and wet look highlighters are my fave because they look the most natural.

This highlighter comes in 3 shades. I have Moonlight Glow which suits me down to a tee because I'm so pale; the other 2 are Golden Glow and Taupe Glow.

I think this highlighter is gorgeous. I can't get over the squishy bouncy texture and the cute baby pink packaging, it gives me Glossier and Milk Makeup vibes (but for less money).
