A walk around Clumber Lake

Wednesday, March 14, 2018 Clumber Park, Worksop, UK

My mum and I decided to go to Clumber Park yesterday to walk around the lake and make the most of the sunshine.

There are daffodils shooting up everywhere and even some snowdrops still hanging around. Spring is finally showing its face and I'm excited.

I enjoy walking as a form of exercise because it's easier on my 90 year old knees and it's also nice to be able to take in the scenery at my own pace.

One of my favourite things to do at Clumber is squirrel watching. They're so tame, they couldn't be less bothered about people. We also spotted quite a few blue tits and I never realised how tiny they were (I've only ever seen photos of them).

When we'd finished our walk and got back to the car, it started chucking it down. I love timing things perfectly. 🙌

It was a lovely peaceful morning spent in nature. I'm excited for more days like this in the summer.
