Movie days & thrifted things

Sunday, January 14, 2018

It's been a lazy one for me today. I'm currently watching Beauty and the Beast (the 2017 one) and it's just one of those films that gives me all the happy goosebumps. I love it so much. Next up I'm thinking either Baby Driver or Rogue One... I've decided it's going to be a movie-and-food kinda day. It is a Sunday after all.

Yesterday my mum, step-dad and I went on a bit of a charity shop rummage. I'm forcing myself to be more thrifty for the rest of this month (don't get paid for another 2 weeks, boo), so to satisfy my shopping habit I thought I'd look for some bargains. I found a grey duffle coat (dreamy for £5.99), a gorgeous copy of Henry V by William Shakespeare (a mere £1.50), and a book called Letters of Note (for £3.50!!!) which I remember seeing in Waterstones years ago. You can find it here if you're interested.

I had to nip into Superdrug very quickly and pick up some new mascara. I've been trying out the I Love Extreme Crazy Volume mascara from Essence but turns out it's naff as hell (goes on clumpy, flakes off at the end of the day) so I got one by Max Factor instead. I haven't tried it before but I can guarantee it'll be better than the Essence one.

We then went home, ordered a Domino's and stuffed our faces with butterscotch tart. Well, I stuffed my face with butterscotch tart. It was a lovely afternoon spent watching Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and eating a lot of terrible but wonderful food. My favourite kinda days to be honest.

I hope the week ahead is kind to you.
